Disrepairs Manager

My client, a large Tier 1 Contractor, is looking for a Disrepairs Manager for a Permanent role based in Croydon.

Duties and Responsibilities of the Disrepair Manager:

1. Oversee the management of disrepair cases and supervise a team comprising surveyors and a disrepair officer.
2. Attend court proceedings related to disrepair claims as necessary.
3. Develop and implement processes aimed at mitigating future claims.
4. Gain a comprehensive understanding of the various liabilities covered by the Housing Association.
5. Audit survey reports from surveyors to ensure compliance with company protocols.
6. Apply knowledge of relevant legislation pertaining to disrepair, including Sections 9, 10, and 11 of the Landlord and Tenant Act 1985.
7. Review the work of appointed contractors to ensure alignment with internal objectives.
8. Ensure that all data is accurately recorded and maintained.
