Job description

£25,796 per annum, Days, M-F, holidays increasing to 33 days after 12 weeks, premium overtime, Christmas shutdown, free parking, changing rooms and showers.

Due to the continuous growth of a well-established global engineering company in the Sheffield area, we have an opportunity for an enthusiastic and reliable Dispatch Operative to join their team based at their UK Head office site which is within 15 minutes of the city centre and within 5 minutes of Meadowhall. Reporting into the Dispatch Supervisor, day to day responsibilities could include:

• Accurately record dispatch information and generate dispatch paperwork using SAP.
• Drive FLT Counterbalance, Reach or Combi Truck.
• Manage stores area, booking incoming goods onto the system.
• Using banding equipment to prepare orders for dispatch.
• Inspecting different products with different measuring equipment.
• Loading vehicles.
• Picking orders.
• Complete relevant paperwork for the export of products.
• Liaising with other departments to ensure all parts of the order are ready for shipment on time.

The successful candidate will have:

• Previous experience in dispatch or goods in.
• An FLT Counterbalance, Reach or Combi inhouse or own license.
• Previous experience using measuring equipment.
• Strong IT skills.
• Ability to communicate confidently.

This is an exciting opportunity for a candidate who has experience working as a Dispatch Operative, Goods In Operative, Goods Out Operative or Stores Person that has experience driving an FLT Counterbalance Truck, Reach Truck or a Combi Truck within an engineering, manufacturing, production, or steelworks looking for their next role.

They have excellent transport links from the city Centre via tram or bus and are accessible from Rotherham or Barnsley also. Benefits include:

• £25,796 per annum.
• 39 hours per week.
• Days - hours between 6am - 6pm (e.g. 6am - 2pm, 7am - 3pm, 8am-4pm, 9am-5pm, 10am-6pm)
• Monday - Friday.
• Premium overtime rates.
• Holidays increasing to 33 days after 12 weeks.
• Christmas shutdown.
• Free parking.
• Changing rooms and showers.
