The Role & What You’ll Do:

The Global F1 Racing Lead will drive the strategic development and execution of global sponsorships, partnerships, public relations, and communications initiatives within one of 160over90’s largest clients sports portfolio. This role will oversee relationship management with key partners, including right’s holders, governing bodies and global golf ambassadors. The F1 Racing Lead will liaise and manage the IAT covering the sponsorship portfolio ensuring the partnerships are returning maximum value and ROI, engaging target audiences and enhancing brand visibility.

Key Responsibilities:

Sponsorship Strategy & Management:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive sponsorship strategies to support brand objectives within the F1 Racing industry.
  • Identify, negotiate, and manage global sponsorship opportunities with F1 tournaments, athletes, and associations.
  • Evaluate sponsorship proposals and assess potential ROI and alignment with brand and company strategic pillars.
  • Manage sponsorship budgets, ensuring effective allocation of resources and cost control.

Partnership Development:

  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key partners, including racing, associations, event organizers and governing bodies.
  • Develop strategic partnerships to expand brand presence and engage new audiences.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and senior leadership executives to leverage commercial opportunities within the business ensuring efficient use of assets and inventory.
  • Represent the business as the senior liaison between retained agencies and DP World across all things F1.

Public Relations & Communications:

  • Oversee the design and execution of campaigns and content pieces to enhance brand reputation and visibility within the racing ecosystem utilizing appearance assets both on broadcast and during guest experience programmes.
  • Ensure internal engagement within the business to highlight the sports partnership and give the opportunity for DP World staff to benefit from the companies sponsorship of the tour and other sports properties.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for media inquiries related to racing partnerships and sponsorships.
  • Coordinate with the global sports partnerships team to ensure consistent messaging and branding.

Event Management:

  • Oversee the planning and execution of racing events, including sponsorship activations, partner events and associated content pieces.
  • Ensure seamless execution of events through IAT, ensuring timely planning and budgeting.
  • Monitor event performance, conduct event de-briefs and ensure reporting is shared within DP World including the commercial working group and across the sports partnerships team.

Performance Monitoring & Reporting:

  • Develop KPIs and performance metrics to evaluate the success of sponsorships and partnerships.
  • Prepare regular reports for senior management on the impact and ROI of sponsorship and partnership activities.
  • Use data-driven insights to refine strategies and optimize future initiatives.

Experience & Knowledge Required:

  • 10+ years of experience in sponsorships, partnerships, PR, and communications, preferably within the sports or racing industry.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing global sponsorships and partnerships.
  • Strong network within the racing industry, including relationships with associations, athletes, and media.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to think strategically and execute tactically.
  • Experience managing budgets and delivering ROI on sponsorship investments.
  • Ability to travel internationally as required.

  • Strong project management and organizational abilities.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and relevant marketing tools.
  • Passion for racing and deep understanding of the racing industry dynamics.

Working Conditions:

  • Office environment with frequent travel to attend tour events, meet partners, and oversee sponsorship activations including hospitality chalets and fan zone activations.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings, as required by tour schedules and business requirements.
