Director of Sales & Marketing | Holiday Inn Auckland Airport

Hotel: Auckland Airport (AKLAP), 2 Ascot Road, Mangere, 2022

Ready to spread the word about our exceptional guest experiences? We’re searching for an accomplished Sales & Marketing Director with the strategic nous to help us develop a clear and highly effective strategy that will drive improved sales and grow Revenue Generation Index (RGI).

A little taste of your day-to-day:

  1. Managing daily sales activities and coaching your team to deliver to their full potential.
  2. Working closely with Holiday Inn (HI) brand, IHG One Rewards and the wider IHG Commercial teams to deliver market share growth and best-in-class sales performance.
  3. Leading marketing efforts to up-sell guests on hotel services, offerings, and amenities.
  4. Creating and implementing sales plans that drive measurable incremental occupancy, increase average rates, and increase volume, food and beverage and banquet sales.
  5. Producing and reviewing monthly reports to monitor performance.
  6. Defining a clear and distinctive market position to address long-term trends, risks, and opportunities.

What We need from you:

  1. Bachelor’s degree / higher education qualification / equivalent in marketing or related field.
  2. Four or more years of experience in a hospitality or hotel sales and marketing setting with direct supervisory experience over a sales team.
  3. Strong knowledge of the hospitality market, key demand drivers and business management.
  4. Strong leadership skills, communication, and ability to think strategically to design plans and achieve targets.
  5. You must meet the legal requirements to work in New Zealand.
