As the Director of Learning & Teaching, you will play a pivotal role in leading and managing the delivery of high-quality academic programmes at SRH International College Berlin. You will build and guide a talented team of academic staff while collaborating with SRH University of Applied Sciences to ensure excellent student outcomes and support structures. Ensuring the integrity of academic standards, facilitating enriching student experiences, and overseeing curriculum development will form the core of your responsibilities. Your strategic vision and leadership will drive the college towards achieving its key performance indicators, fostering an environment that encourages student success and engagement.

Hours of Work: Full time, Permanent

Salary: Starting at €60,000

Director of Learning & Teaching Requirements:

Essential

1. Master's degree
2. Evidence of work-related professional development
3. Experience of teaching in higher education sector
4. Good understanding of the German Higher Education system
5. Successful record of managing people, budgets and resources
6. Experience of implementing strategies, standards and practices
7. A successful record of academic leadership, including curriculum development, the management of people, budgets and resources
8. Substantial experience in leading curriculum design including the management and evaluation of learning and teaching effectiveness
9. Proven ability to lead on quality assurance and enhancement in learning and teaching
10. Fluency in both German and English

Desirable

1. PhD Degree
2. Recognised Teaching qualification
3. The ability to motivate, initiate, lead and manage change to achieve improvement
4. Experience of working in an international education setting
5. 5 years in an academic environment
6. Understand and respect the critical interface between budget management, quality assurance and student recruitment
7. Use of project management tools and techniques
8. Have the ability to communicate with staff and students from a diverse range of cultural and educational backgrounds
9. Resilient in pursuit of excellence
