Summary:

Cobalt are delighted to be exclusively partnered with Coin Street in their search for a Director of Estates. This is a new role within their organisation with a diverse set of responsibilities – this will include the management for the Property & Facilities team, alongside enhancing the quality of their Central London commercial and mixed-use portfolio via asset management strategies.

In this initial interim role, there will be significant focus on driving and improving the delivery of maintenance and planned works, as well as compliance throughout the portfolio, with the role involving the line management of the Head of Property & Facilities.

Most importantly, we need an individual who can champion the ethical values our business has been founded on, whilst ensuring the value of our Estate is truly maximised.

The Key Duties:

  • Developing and maintaining a resilient and reliable estate infrastructure that supports all areas of Coin Street’s activities. Ensuring that this infrastructure is maintained to a high level and meets agreed performance targets and statutory/regulatory standards.
  • Proposing and then executing asset management strategies across the Estate – with a view to enhance the quality of the portfolio whilst also remaining true to the ethical and socially responsible values of the business.
  • Implementing refurbishment and capital expenditure projects across the Estate, realising the opportunities to enhance value across the estate, with the long-term focus of enhancing property value in line with our strategic objectives.
  • Working to elevate Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) credentials across our properties.
  • Participate in developments and regeneration of assets across the Estate.

Knowledge & Experience:

  • Degree level in a relevant Real Estate course.
  • Member of Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.
  • Established Asset/Estate Management experience for a prominent mixed-used and varied scheme – ideally in a leadership capacity.
  • Understanding of key regulatory and compliance legislation, including but not limited to:
    • Health & Safety compliance (HSE/CDM 2015).
    • Fire safety regulations.
    • Landlord & Tenant Act 1954 (for lease management).
    • Environmental & sustainability compliance (MEES, BREEAM, EPC ratings, etc.).
