JOB DESCRIPTION
Midland Transport is currently seeking a Director of Brokerage Operations to be based out of our Head Office location in Dieppe, NB. The successful candidate will develop Brokerage's strategic short- and long-term operational goals, liaising with Senior Leaders and Ops Teams balancing demands of each.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop functional strategies and specific objectives for Operations Managers as well as lead a team of regional managers for overall service, capacity, and cost for both Affiliate & Non-Affiliate customers
  • Establish and maintain governance and quality audit processes to monitor operational performance and drive improvement using analytics
  • Identify problems in operations and achieve high performance at optimal cost
  • Manage the annual budget planning for both Farmed out and Brokerage lead overall strategy, metrics, and process to execute on an optimized network
  • Understand and deliver on Affiliate supply chains to identify best practices in managing transportation components
  • Lead S&OE with Affiliates ensuring communication of forecasts and changes to applicable execution teams
  • Establish and maintain strong carrier and customer relationships in all regions and maintain adequate FTE to take on new business.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education: University Degree in related discipline
  • Experience: minimum 12 years of relevant work experience required
  • Excellent people management skills mentoring, coaching and leadership skill
  • Excellent problem solving and prioritizing skills
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
