Must be 18 years or older with a commitment to 40 hours of training.
Training covers various essential caregiving skills.

Assist participants with daily living activities and personal care.
Provide medication assistance and support home management tasks.

Assisting with daily living activities

Light housekeeping

Bathing assistance

Grooming assistance

Medication assistance

Home management tasks

High school diploma or equivalent

This is a general training program and is open to all interested participants regardless of interest in employment at BAYADA and is for the benefit of the participant.

Qualifications:

40 hour commitment for direct care worker training offered at 1189 Highway 315 Suite 4 Wilkes-Barre PA 18702 location (Monday-Friday 9AM-5:00PM)
18 years of age or older

Training Curriculum Includes:

Activities of daily living
Light housekeeping
Bathing
Grooming
Toileting
Nail care
Range of motion / exercises
Transfers
Oral feeding
Home Management Tasks: laundry, meal preparation, bed making, etc.
Assisting with ambulation
Medication assistance
