Job description

Digital delivery is at the forefront of providing ongoing support and maintenance for our clinical and non-clinical digital systems together with the implementation and deployment of new digital systems.

We are looking for a Digital Service Manager to help us drive the service forwards, responsible for the development and delivery of a high-quality digital support service. You will join our dynamic multi-disciplinary team.

The role is full-time and offers the opportunity for hybrid working.

Main duties of the job

As the Digital Service Delivery Manager, you will provide advanced support to all aspects of work relating to the delivery of a high-quality digital support service, ensuring and maintaining robust processes and procedures within the following areas: Service Desk, Systems Support, Data Quality, System Configuration, Release Management.

You will become a key member of the management team, providing updates and assurance to the wider digital service for the areas of responsibility.

Previous experience of delivering high-quality digital support services within a complex environment, managing multiple critical and non-clinical systems is essential.

Person Specification

Qualifications

  • Educated to degree level, and/or have an appropriate level of training and experience in providing digital support services
  • Evidence of continued professional development
  • Programme and Project Management qualification e.g. MSP, PRINCE2 or similar

Experience

  • Experience of leading clinical safety investigations and contributing to clinical safety assessment reviews within the remit of digital systems
  • Experience of leading and managing multiple teams to deliver business and clinical critical digital systems
  • Significant experience of working at a senior manager level in the NHS, with hands-on delivery and management of complex systems
  • Significant demonstrable experience of managing multiple projects/priorities and meeting deadlines
  • Specialist knowledge and experience of how systems can support colleagues in the treatment/care of patients/clients
  • Experience of working in a change environment with multiple stakeholders and suppliers to secure engagement to deliver change
  • Experience of writing complex reports and undertaking assurance activities in line with best practice
  • Working in partnership with multiple stakeholders to achieve common objectives and delivery of high-quality services

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to analyse, interpret and resolve issues
  • Ability to present information in a meaningful manner to a non-technical audience, as well as analyse, present and interpret data from a number of different sources
  • High level of interpersonal, verbal, listening and written skills
  • Ability to negotiate with, persuade and influence a range of stakeholders, both internal and external
