Digital Product Owner - travel to office in East Sussex required when necessary

Our client is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Product Owner to join their Digital Development Team.

This position will be working as part of the Digital Development Team delivering a website rebuild project initially, working alongside an internal delivery team and a third-party delivery company. You will play a crucial role in ensuring that the product aligns with business objectives, meets customer needs, and delivers value to the organisation

The successful applicant will be responsible for:


Ensuring that the product roadmap aligns with the delivery project's goals and timelines.

Developing comprehensive documentation that outline tasks, dependencies, and resource requirements, adapting them to the project's evolving needs and requirements.

Utilising tools like Jira to create and manage tasks, track progress, and facilitate agile methodologies within daily standups, answering questions and taking actions for investigation.

Providing regular updates on project status, key metrics, and risks to stakeholders.The successful candidate's responsibilities encompass a wide range of tasks, including:

Prioritisation: Determining the order in which features and functionalities will be implemented based on business value, technical feasibility, and user needs.

Backlog Management: Maintaining and grooming a prioritised backlog of product requirements, ensuring clarity, completeness, and alignment with the product vision.

Feature Definition: Writing clear, concise, and well-defined user stories that capture the desired functionality, acceptance criteria, and value proposition.

Product Launch: Overseeing the launch of new product features or releases, ensuring a smooth transition and addressing any issues that arise.

Continuous Improvement: Gathering user feedback, analysing product metrics, and identifying opportunities for improvement to enhance the products value and performance.

Data-Driven Decision Making: Using data and analytics to inform product decisions and measure the impact of product features and changes.

Agile Methodology: Understanding and applying agile principles and practices to facilitate iterative development and continuous improvement.

Technical Understanding: Possessing a basic understanding of technical concepts to effectively communicate with the development team.

What You'll need to have:

1. Experience of working within the travel and tourism sector preferred

2. Scrum master experience

3. Product Owner qualification

4. Experience delivering a digital transformation

5. Knowledge of digital marketing

6. Experience of using Jira

7. Excellent written and verbal communication skills

8. Ability to travel to site
