Job Overview

We’re looking for a customer focused Product Owner to drive improvements in our Developer Services platform. The Developer Services team support developers, builders and landowners in obtaining water and wastewater connections for new or existing developments. These services ensure that infrastructure is in place to supply clean water and manage wastewater effectively.

As part of a growing Digital Product Team sitting in the Customer Directorate, you’ll be improving our online and logged in offering to our Developer Services users.

  1. Understand the customer’s needs; champion user-centric design, ensuring seamless and intuitive customer journeys.
  2. Elicit, analyse and prioritize requirements from developers, stakeholders, and other relevant sources. Translate these requirements into user stories and acceptance criteria.
  3. Lead sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and sprint retrospectives, collaborating closely with the development team.
  4. Plan and execute product releases, coordinating with development, testing, and deployment teams.
  5. You’ll understand the Developer Services Platform (ServiceNow) to ensure it is optimized and enhanced. Stay up-to-date with the latest ServiceNow features and best practices.

About You

  1. You will have a passion for driving change to benefit customers; whilst being able to balance business and wider stakeholder needs.
  2. Proven experience as a Product Owner, preferably with experience in building and managing online technical products.
  3. Understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe) and backlog management tools (JIRA).
  4. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  5. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.

Package

This role will be full time Monday to Friday with a hybrid approach to working between our Durrington office and home. We are offering a salary of circa £55,000 per annum depending on skills and experience as well as other benefits including:

  6. Full funded eye tests
  7. Two paid volunteering days a year
  8. Occupational health service
  9. Discounts with over 800 popular retailers
  10. Digital GP service
  11. Study support may be available for job-related qualifications
  12. Competitive maternity leave and flexible return to work options
  13. Cycle to work scheme
