Job Overview

Forsyth Barnes are delighted to be in partnership with a leading football organisation for a Digital Product Manager to join the team. You will be responsible for the web and mobile digital products that will underpin the customer experience. This includes the design, development, and launch of new digital products and features, and then their ongoing management and optimisation.

The successful candidate will have a track record of successfully leading product development teams, working closely with technical delivery partners and have experience in digital product management.

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and maintain the product vision, strategy and roadmap for the websites and mobile apps, ensuring that the product aligns with the overall vision and strategy.
  2. Work closely with cross-functional internal and third-party teams including product, engineering, design, and business teams to ensure successful product development and launch.
  3. Define and manage product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  4. Engage with key stakeholders to organise and prioritise the product backlog.
  5. Act as the product subject matter expert, regularly communicating progress and updates to key stakeholders.
  6. Be an advocate/voice for the customers by helping to shape and/or conduct user research and incorporating their feedback to improve the products.
  7. Collaborate with the design team to ensure user-friendly and visually appealing interfaces, which are consistent with the brand hierarchy.
  8. Run Agile ceremonies and set up Agile tools and ways of working.
  9. Identify and track key metrics to monitor and analyse product performance and use data to inform product decisions.
  10. Stay up-to-date on industry trends and competitor activities.
  11. Collaborate with senior management to align product strategy with overall business objectives and to facilitate collaboration across the business in a timely manner.
  12. Lead and manage the technical governance of the product, ensuring compliance with best practice and industry standards. Maintain high technical quality and integrity across the product.
  13. Oversee the technical design of the product to ensure the product is scalable, robust, and innovative.
  14. Own and enhance the maturity of the product support lifecycle. Work with the technical support teams to develop processes and frameworks to ensure comprehensive, efficient, and high-quality support for end users and stakeholders.
  15. Ensure rigorous testing standards and practices are applied to deliver a high quality and reliable product.

Experience:

  1. 5+ years of experience in digital product management, ideally with a focus on hospitality, leisure and entertainment industries.
  2. Strong experience in product development and launch, with a proven track record of successful product launches.
  3. Experience working with cross-functional teams and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  4. Strong understanding of user-centred design principles and Agile development methodologies.
  5. Experience of using website content management systems (CMS).
  6. A working understanding of core website technologies such as HTML and CSS.
