At Babcock we’re working to create a safe and secure world, together, and if you join us, you can play your part as a Digital Print Technician at our RAF Cranwell site.

The role
As a Digital Print Technician, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. The Print Technician is part of a small team including designers and photographers and is dedicated to the reprographics element of the contract.


Day-to-day, you’ll have the following responsibilities:

  • Digital Printing/ Photocopying: Operate and maintain digital printers to produce high-quality printed materials and manage large and small-scale photocopying projects with precision and efficiency.
  • Wide Format Printing: Handle wide format printing for banners, posters, canvases, pull-ups and other large-scale materials.
  • Print Finishing: Perform tasks such as binding, laminating, trimming, and other finishing techniques to complete projects to the highest standard.
  • Scanning & Archiving: Digitally scan archived documents, ensuring accuracy and proper organisation.
  • Layout Support: Assist with editing and preparing artwork using Adobe CC & Office 365.


Please note that the successful candidate will be required to pass a targeted medical questionnaire and/or medical examination as a condition of employment for this role.


This role is full time and based onsite at RAF Cranwell.

Essential experience of the Digital Print Technician:

  • Previous experience with digital print and wide format printers.
  • Basic layout design skills and experience with software Adobe CC and Office 365, with a good appreciation of colour, detail and design.

Qualifications for the Digital Print Technician:

  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in an appropriate subject containing a comprehensive skill base in Digital Printing and Finishing, or previous experience in a similar print environment (Increased experience could mitigate level of qualification).

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
