Description

We are a dynamic team of eight, dedicated to supporting the clinical research industry. We are looking for a creative and driven apprentice to join us as a Digital Marketing and Events Assistant, gaining hands-on experience in digital marketing, event planning, and sales support.

About Us

We are a small, dynamic team of eight, dedicated to supporting the clinical research industry through education, qualifications, and professional standards. Our clients include the NHS, private research organisations, and international partners across the UK, Americas, Australia, and New Zealand.

We are now looking for a creative and driven apprentice to join our team as a Digital Marketing and Events Assistant. If you’re eager to gain hands-on experience in digital marketing, event planning, and sales support, this is the perfect opportunity to develop your skills while working in a fast-paced, global industry.

What You'll Be Doing

As our Digital Marketing and Events Assistant (Apprentice), you will play a key role in supporting our sales and marketing efforts while learning valuable skills in digital marketing, event coordination, and client engagement. You will report directly to the CEO and work closely with the Marketing & Partnerships Manager, gaining real-world experience in a variety of marketing and business activities.

The apprentice will work from home and therefore will need to be able to work independently and without close supervision. However, direction and support will be provided by the CEO and Marketing & Partnerships Manager. Additionally, a Development Coach from Creative Alliance will support the apprentice through their learning and development journey.

  • With training and mentorship, you will develop expertise in:
  • Managing and optimising digital marketing campaigns (SEO, social media, email marketing)
  • Supporting the planning and execution of online and in-person events
  • Maintaining and updating our sales and marketing databases
  • Assisting with website management and content creation
  • Engaging with industry professionals and clients to support business growth
  • Coordinating with external marketing agencies and suppliers when needed
  • Providing general business support and participating in ad-hoc projects

As you grow in the role, you will have the opportunity to take the lead on digital marketing initiatives, applying the knowledge gained from your apprenticeship training.

Who We're Looking For

We’re not expecting you to be an expert yet but we do want to see enthusiasm, creativity, and a willingness to learn! If you are passionate about digital marketing and events, this could be the ideal opportunity to kickstart your career.

Key Qualities & Skills

  • A keen interest in digital marketing and creating engaging campaigns
  • A passion for event planning and coordination (both online & in-person)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisation
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
  • A proactive, positive attitude with a can-do approach
  • IT and social media savvy experience with WordPress, or email marketing tools is a plus!
  • Professional, friendly, and customer-focused mindset

What We Offer

  • Fully funded apprenticeship training with a recognised provider (Creative Alliance)
  • Hands-on experience in a real-world marketing and events environment
  • Supportive mentorship from experienced professionals
  • Remote working flexibility with opportunities to meet the team in person
  • Paid travel expenses for work-related meetings and events
  • 5 weeks of paid holiday per year
  • A chance to grow into a permanent role within the company
