We are looking for a Digital Inclusion Project Coordinator.
- £225 P/D Inside IR35 (Onsite in Birmingham)
- Hybrid role, travelling around Birmingham meeting different stakeholders.
- The role is 12 months initially and will require the following activities and skills:
To manage and deliver a digital inclusion offering for a minimum of 1000 citizens that predominantly use Warm Wee Spaces across Birmingham. The digital offering will enable all citizens, whether or not they are in employment, to gain greater confidence in the use of digital tools and capabilities that enable them to be “pre-employment ready.” This will involve ensuring citizens are equipped with sufficient skills and capabilities that are currently stopping them from using the internet and other digital applications to further their life chances.
While the project does not aim at directly getting citizens into jobs or training, it is intended to provide foundational digital skills for citizens to no longer consider the lack of these skills as a barrier for further employment and training opportunities. These skills will include media literacy training to enable citizens to understand the importance of digital skills. The approach recognizes that those with no access to the internet or limited skills are less likely to be in paid employment or will be on a lower income. Therefore, there will also be a focus on limited internet users, who are five times more likely to be from low-income households.
Please note that if you are NOT a passport holder of the country for the vacancy, you might need a work permit. Check our Blog for more information.
