We are looking for a Digital Front Door Project Manager to join us!

Due to business growth, we are looking for a talented project manager to deliver the ‘Digital Front Door’ for community services. This is an exciting role and is pivotal in advancing our digital healthcare strategy and transforming health care.

Working on this exciting brownfield project you will be responsible for the delivery of strategically aligned digital innovation projects aiming to bring service-user facing technology and service-user interactions to our clinical services, working to disaggregate and rebuild an existing system.

You will work under the direction of the Digital Transformation Programme Manager with innovative teams and suppliers on the discovery, design, development, and delivery of new technology utilising industry standard project management and software lifecycle methodologies.

You will utilise strong supplier management skills to engage with our clinical and operational teams, as well as health & care providers and service users in helping deliver this project.

This is a fixed term role until July 2025, working in a hybrid working style with some travel to Surrey.

Main Responsibilities

  1. End-to-End Project Delivery: Deliver digital front door projects on time, within budget, and to agreed quality standards.
  2. Project Accountability: Serve as the key point of contact for project sponsors.
  3. Project Structure and Methodology: Ensure all projects follow the organisation's approved methodologies, with clear communication, structured governance, and escalation processes.
  4. Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with business functions, operations teams, and key stakeholders.
  5. Service-User Engagement: Engage with service users, staff, and partner organisations to identify digital needs and develop compelling business cases for digital transformation.
  6. Procurement & Technology Appraisal: Lead market appraisals to ensure technology solutions meet required standards.
  7. Agile Project Planning: Plan and manage project phases and milestones, delivering technology solutions iteratively using Agile principles.
  8. Communication Strategy: Collaborate with internal communications teams to create and implement robust communication plans.
  9. Performance Tracking: Monitor project performance, ensuring milestones are met in terms of time, quality, and cost.
  10. Risk & Issue Management: Identify, mitigate, and manage risks, escalating issues outside of agreed tolerances.

The Ideal Candidate

Our ideal candidate will have significant experience working in a similar role within an NHS or Private healthcare background.

They will have:

  1. A degree or equivalent experience.
  2. PRINCE2 or equivalent project management qualification.
  3. Proven experience in managing complex, high-priority projects within the health sector, with direct accountability for scoping, planning, delivery, and closure.
  4. Extensive experience in Technology Project Management within healthcare.
  5. Managing multiple workstreams and coordinating stakeholders.
  6. Financial and resource management experience
  7. Chairing and leading project meetings or workshops.
  8. Experience in change management and business case development.
  9. Building and maintaining relationships with technology suppliers.
  10. Strong communication skills
  11. Proven ability to lead diverse teams across multiple locations and functions
  12. Strong conflict resolution abilities.
  13. Contract negotiation and supplier management experience.
