About Pulse Creative

Pulse Creative is our embedded agency for News UK, formed through a WPP-backed joint venture between T&Pm and VML. Pulse Creative works on some of the country’s most-loved brands including The Times, Times Radio, The Sun, talkSPORT, and Virgin Radio. The agency houses more than 40 experts in everything from creative, design, digital content creation, UX, and development, to comms planning, brand strategy, account handling, and media planning and buying. Pulse Creative represents the collaborative, integrated agency model of the future.

Role Responsibilities

  • Implement motion graphics and animations to add dynamism and interactivity to online advertisements, enhancing engagement and conveying brand messages effectively.
  • Create eye-catching designs for social media ads, websites, landing pages, and other digital assets that align with clients' branding guidelines and campaign objectives.
  • Collaborate closely with the creative and marketing teams to understand project requirements and deliver creative solutions that exceed client expectations.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest design trends, industry best practices, and emerging technologies to bring fresh and innovative ideas to each project.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously and adhere to project timelines, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality designs.
  • A thorough understanding of the project process within a creative agency - from client brief through to post-project evaluation.
  • Able to deliver great conceptual ideas, with a portfolio displaying the depth of your creativity and expertise in this area.
  • Fluency in social platforms and experience creating content focused for social media objectives.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. Ability to work independently on medium to large scale client projects with a senior creative/team.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Digital Media, or related field.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects), Figma, and other relevant design tools.
  • Solid understanding of web design principles, responsive design, and user experience best practices.
  • Strong skills in motion design, animation, and video editing to create captivating visual experiences.
  • Excellent attention to detail, ensuring pixel-perfect designs and flawless execution.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills to handle multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills to present ideas, discuss design concepts, and receive feedback constructively.
  • Proven experience in designing emails and HTML5 banners.
  • A portfolio showcasing a diverse range of digital design projects that demonstrate creativity, technical skills, and successful campaign outcomes.
  • Strong understanding of social media trends and best practices.
  • Ability to think innovatively and look beyond the obvious to develop highly engaging ideas and campaigns.
  • Constantly looks for and learns from new information or experiences.
  • Experience working in news/editorial is ideal but not essential.
