On behalf of the NI Assembly, MPA recruitment welcome suitable applications for the role of a Digital Content Editor for Maternity Cover up to a year.
The Digital Content Editor is responsible for publishing, managing and creating digital content for the Northern Ireland Assembly. The primary function of the role is publishing website content on behalf of the many business areas within the Assembly using the Content Management Systems that facilitate the Assembly’s web presence. There is a strong emphasis on digital accessibility, therefore publishing content will require re-formatting in line with best practice and accessibility standards. The role also involves publishing to social media and assisting the Internal Communications Manager with internal newsletters and associated content for encouraging staff engagement in internal activities and initiatives. They work with the Web Content Manager and the Communications Team to deliver the Northern Ireland Assembly Commission’s content plans, tracking and evaluating the performance of content against objectives.
Applicants for the post must have, by the closing date for application:
1. At least a primary degree, minimum 2.2 classification, in any subject.
Applications will be considered from applicants with formal qualifications of an equivalent or higher standard to those stated.
AND
At least two years’ experience in the criteria (a) to (e) below:
OR
2. GCSE/GCE ‘O’ level passes at grades A* to C in four subjects including English language.

AND
Four years’ experience in the criteria (a) to (e) above.
Should shortlisting be required, the following shortlisting criteria will be applied:
Specific 3rd level qualifications in Digital and/or Social Media Marketing or demonstrable understanding of managing digital content across multiple digital channels.
