Digital Business Development Manager

£30- £50k basic + healthy commission (Salary flexible dependant on level)

Burnley & Manchester based – Hybrid Working

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a performance marketing agency with offices in Lancashire and Manchester as their new Business Development Manager. They are looking for someone with proven experience and knowledge of bespoke digital marketing who will develop sales opportunities with target organisations. The agency is well-established, with an almost entirely retained client base, and they are looking to build on their success by securing new clients and continuing the growth and momentum throughout 2024. They're a great bunch of people, super down to earth and passionate about the work they produce for their clients!

The role as Business Development Manager:

  • Sales outreach is crucial- to targeted individuals (email, calls, LinkedIn etc)
  • Sales opportunity/pitch management and delivery
  • Working closely with the marketing team to join up activity – you will be supported by solid, always-on marketing communications and events
  • On the day contributing to leading agency events (usually quarterly)
  • Networking and representing the agency at third party events

What you’ll need:

  • Proven business development background and knowledge of digital marketing
  • If you’ve worked in an agency previously then even better!
  • Tonnes of charisma and the ability to lead conversations
  • Willingness to get out and about meeting clients

The nature of the role means you’ll be in the office a couple of days a week. Their core office location is Burnley, but they also have an office in Manchester City Centre and you’ll also be out & about meeting clients on-site and attending relevant events/networking.

As Business Development Manager you’ll work closely with the Client Services team who will take over the delivery and growth of accounts, leaving the BDM to be able to focus on new opportunities.

This is not a 12 month gig- they are looking for someone who will really become a core part of their team for the long-term and they will invest in you accordingly.
