Responsible for performing scheduled maintenance and repair on equipment, including diesel engines, hydraulics, and DOT regulated vehicles, as well as performing preventive maintenance on diesel and non-diesel equipment and trucks. This position requires basic knowledge of vehicle systems to perform routine maintenance and repair.
Requirements:
Heavy Truck and Construction Equipment Experience
Must Have Complete Set of Own Tools
Minimum 2-5 years as a Mechanic
Clean Driving Record
Working knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, pneumatic, and electrical systems
Assist with accessing required parts and tools to perform work
Must be able to interact well with others and work independently or in a team setting
Basic Job Functions:
Inspecting heavy construction equipment, attachments, heavy trucks, and trailers for proper performance to detect faults and malfunctions
Diagnosing faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment to determine the extent of repair required
Adjusting equipment and repairing or replacing defective parts, components, or systems using hand and power tools
Testing repaired equipment for proper performance to ensure that work meets manufacturers' specifications
Cleaning, lubricating, and performing other routine maintenance work on equipment
State Inspection of vehicles/trailers
