About your new company:

West is proud to be partnering with a well-established business who specializes in Circular Economy within Civil Construction & Waste Management. They have nothing but the best and brand new equipment in the market ranging from 25 to 50 tonne machinery.

About your new role:
This great opportunity is for someone who has solid experience as a Diesel Mechanic and has the ability to manage a small team. Your responsibilities would be:

  1. Identify issues with plant and equipment, diagnose cause and provide a cost-effective solution through consultation with Production Manager.
  2. Complete daily pre-start checklist for Crushers and Screens and order parts as required.
  3. Conduct regular preventative maintenance of plant and equipment between operator breaks daily.
  4. Quarterly reports relating to fuel consumption, breakages and lifespan of supplier parts and consumables for review.
  5. Complete toolbox and workload talks daily to maintenance team.
  6. Delegate duties based on competency and capacity of team members.
  7. Give clear instructions for tasks and mentor team to complete work to a quality standard.
  8. Complete rosters working around approved leave, absences and approval of weekly timesheets of maintenance team.

About you:
  1. Certificate 3 in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical.
  2. Proven Team Management experience.
  3. Experience within Waste Management (Desirable).
  4. MR or HR license required.
  5. Knowledge of Office 365.
  6. Excellent attention to detail and Organizational skills.
  7. Good written & verbal communication.
