We’re seeking skilled and proactive Die Maintenance Technicians and Toolmakers to bring their expertise to a variety of projects in our high-energy environment. You should apply if you have:

  • Time-served in a toolmaking background with hands-on experience in bench-fitting, machining & MIG, TIG & ARC welding. Experience of CNC machining and programming using 3- or 5-axis milling machines is beneficial.
  • ONC, BTEC or NVQ Level 3 in a mechanical engineering discipline.
  • A strong mechanical engineering background with experience in CNC machining/programming.
  • High motivation, excellent technical skill level, and a proactive approach to problem solving and implementing long-term solutions.
  • Natural ability to analyse problematic situations and develop effective solutions quickly and confidently.
  • Experience of CAD/CAM, including AutoCAD, Delcam and NX (or their equivalents), is beneficial.
  • Understanding and adherence to safety policies, utilising a 5S safety system.
  • A team player, open to collaboration with colleagues and wider networks.
  • Self-assurance to ask the right questions and take note of how best to move projects forward.
  • Right to work in the UK and geographical mobility if required.
  • Ability to commit to a shift pattern.

Key tasks and responsibilities:

  • Day-to-day responsibilities will include reactive and planned maintenance work on a wide range of press and injection moulding tooling, addressing new challenges daily.
  • Apply excellent technical skills and root-cause analysis thinking to implement long-term solutions, liaising with multiple departments to meet production needs while ensuring continuous improvement and quality focus.
  • Complete projects including MIG, TIG & ARC welding.
  • Think on your feet, prioritise workload, and manage time effectively across various tasks.
  • Be involved in new model and tooling development, working cross-functionally and potentially travelling internationally for new model buy-off processes.
  • Demonstrate a motivated learning mindset and transparent attitude, taking ownership of personal skills and training opportunities.
