L'Atelier de Pino Spitaleri is now seeking a skilled Diamond Setter for its atelier on Old Bond Street, London to join our expert team dedicated to crafting exquisite jewellery pieces.

In this role, you will leverage your precision and artistry to set diamonds and other gemstones with exceptional care and attention to detail, ensuring the highest standards of quality and craftsmanship.

Responsibilities
  1. Expertly set a variety of diamonds and gemstones into rings, necklaces, bracelets, and other jewellery items while adhering to design specifications.
  2. Conduct quality checks on completed settings to ensure durability and aesthetic appeal, making adjustments as necessary.
  3. Utilize advanced tools and techniques to perform intricate setting styles, including prong, bezel, pave, and channel settings.
  4. Collaborate closely with designers and other artisans to bring creative visions to life, offering insights on optimal stone placement and design enhancements.
  5. Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring all tools and equipment are in top condition and safely stored.
  6. Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and techniques to continually enhance skill set and craftsmanship.
  7. Have very good sight or be able to work for prolonged periods using a microscope.
  8. Be trustworthy and reliable as you will be dealing with expensive materials.
  9. Ensure that all sizes and shapes are correct before proceeding to mount them onto the piece.
  10. Able to follow instructions from plans.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
  1. Proven experience as a Diamond Setter or in a similar role, with a strong portfolio of completed work.
  2. Exceptional manual dexterity and attention to detail, with a passion for fine craftsmanship.
  3. Strong understanding of gemstones, including the qualities that affect their setting and overall appearance.
  4. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment, collaborating with designers and jewellers.
