Contract Type: Permanent

Hours: Monday - Friday 8.00 - 17.00, 1 in 3 Saturdays (42 hours per week)

Salary: £40,000 OTE (including £34,000 basic plus bonus)

Lookers SKODA is recruiting for a Diagnostic Technician to join their fantastic workshop. You will play a vital role, carrying out vehicle health checks using the latest technology, conducting vehicle services, and carrying out any additional repairs.

Here at Lookers SKODA, you will be reporting to the aftersales manager, where you will be given ongoing support to ensure that you have the tools needed to perform to the very best! Our technicians play a vital role within our Service team by delivering first-class customer service every time. We want you to be part of our success. If you’re a qualified Vehicle Technician or an experienced Mechanic, whether you work in a dealer group or independent garage, we want to hear from you!

  1. Carrying out servicing, repairs, and maintenance to high standards.
  2. Inspecting vehicle engine and mechanical/electrical components to diagnose issues accurately, using computer-based technology.
  3. Repairing or replacing broken or defective parts and resolving defects.
  4. Taking the customer's vehicle out on a road test to ensure all faults are rectified.
  5. Completing warranty repairs per the manufacturer’s guidelines and ensuring relevant write-up is complete.
  6. Completing all relevant paperwork to a high standard.

The ideal candidate will be focused, self-motivated, a team player, and have a good mechanical/electrical aptitude. You will require a full UK driving licence and completion of NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification.

Having previous experience of working with the brand would be advantageous in this role.
