Are you a skilled technician who has developed a technical skill set within a franchised dealer environment?

Our long standing, well known and recognised Mercedes Dealership in Glasgow is performing amazingly and we would love you to be part of our future and join us at this exciting time. You will work for an experienced franchise Service Leader and can benefit from manufacturer training, a great atmosphere and plenty of work to keep you productive!

As a skilled vehicle technician, you must hold skills and knowledge to diagnose system faults, rectify the faults (including replacing components) and return vehicle systems to manufacturer specification.

We are welcoming applications from experienced Vehicle Technicians trained to diagnostic or master technician levels, within a franchised dealer environment. If you have knowledge of the Mercedes brand that would be fantastic but not essential.

You will require a Full UK drivers’ licence and have your own tools.

Depending on your skill level the role will involve:

  1. Utilising your technical knowledge to carry out repairs and maintenance on customer vehicles, including minor and major mechanical work.
  2. Completing major electrical and engine repair work.
  3. Meeting and discussing the vehicle and repairs needed with the customer when necessary.
  4. Carrying out road tests of customer vehicles after work has been carried out.
  5. Using advanced diagnostic equipment to fault find items relevant to the franchise brand.
  6. Ability to complete a Vehicle Health Check (VHC) ensuring that the VHC video completion meets target and exceeds all Vehicle VHC KPIs.

What will you need to succeed in the role:

  1. Technical knowledge to allow you to confidently and safely carry out repairs and maintenance of customer vehicles.
  2. Demonstrate capability and confidence in using systems and equipment within the workshop.
  3. Experience within a franchise dealer working to the highest quality standards.
  4. Experience of working to productivity targets.
  5. Working as part of a team to achieve the best results for the customer.
  6. Qualified by experience in post or Level 3 Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
  7. Mentor & Coach apprentices and support less experienced team members.
