Diabetes Specialist Nurse with or without general practice experience

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, professional, and experienced Diabetes Specialist Nurse to join our excellent Nursing Team at Brockworth Surgery. The ideal candidate will be experienced in diabetes management, willing to learn, able to take on responsibilities and have a good team spirit. We are looking for the candidate to work around up to 20 hours or more per week.

Main duties of the job

The candidate will need experience managing diabetic patients whether that is in a hospital/community setting or working within general practice.

Job responsibilities

The Diabetes Specialist Nurse will work within the nursing team providing care to our patient population. They will be expected to:

• Run diabetes clinics, reviewing bloods, medication management, lifestyle promotion, referrals to diabetes services.
• Work alongside the diabetes practice nurse.
• Have access to PCN specialist diabetes consultant clinic.

Experience

• Practice Nurse experience or Diabetes Speciality.
• IT literate with experience with SystmOne.
