Devops Software Engineer

Spectrum IT are currently partnered with a growing FinTech based in Newbury who are looking to add a DevOps Software Engineer to their existing small team of 3. They are a provider of financial planning technology, working with a majority of large financial companies in the UK.

As a DevOps Software Engineer, you will be responsible for the ongoing development, support, and maintenance of market-leading stochastic modelling solutions. The ideal candidate will be a DevOps Engineer with a background/understanding of software development.

Essential experience:

1. Strong DevOps knowledge working with CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes etc.
2. Knowledge of full-stack programming, ideally JavaScript/TypeScript. The company uses the MERN stack.
3. Agile methodologies.

Desired experience:

1. Monorepo architecture tools (NX).
2. Automation / Build systems.
3. Testing frameworks.
4. Infrastructure as code - Terraform.
5. AWS - The company has recently moved to AWS, but are happy to consider people who have worked on other platforms.
6. Financial services.
