Responsibilities / Expectations from the Role :

1. Design, implement, and enhance deployment automation based on Chef. Proven experience writing Chef recipes / cookbooks and designing an overall Chef-based release and deployment process is required.
2. Engineer with experience in industry standard CI / CD tools like Git / BitBucket, Jenkins, Maven, Artifactory, and Chef. Experience designing and implementing an effective CI / CD flow is required.
3. Hands-on experience with BASH scripting, Python scripting, and working knowledge in Linux / Unix environments. Experience in C, C++, Java, Python, Go, Perl, or Ruby is preferred.
4. Support deployments of code into multiple lower environments with an emphasis on automating processes.
5. Design and implement a Git-based code management strategy supporting multiple environment deployments in parallel.
6. Scale systems sustainably through mechanisms like automation, pushing for changes that improve reliability and velocity.
