DevOps Engineer - West Midlands

Outside IR35 - £500 per day

DevOps Engineer required for a leading client based in the West Midlands. My client is currently seeking a DevOps Engineer to come on board to participate in all team ceremonies as directed by the Scrum Master or Product Manager, including Daily Stand-ups, as well as Refinement, Planning, Review, and Retrospective sessions. You will take responsibility for completing Stories and Tasks from the Tooling & Automation Platform team board in Jira, aligned with the client's committed features.

Key Skills and Responsibilities:

1. DevOps engineer experience
2. Required experience in managing and working with container technologies such as Amazon EKS and Docker
3. Experience in developing and maintaining automation pipelines for code releases, along with managing the supporting tools such as ArgoCD, Helm, GitHub Actions, and security scanning tools like Snyk and/or SonarCloud.
4. Skilled in writing GitHub Actions, with a strong understanding of YAML syntax and structure, secrets management, custom actions, Docker integrations, and building CI/CD pipelines.
5. Experience with Red Hat Ansible / Ansible Automation Platform (AAP).
6. Familiarity with Digital.ai Release and/or SonarQube is desirable.
7. Proficiency in Terraform.
8. Understanding of SAFe Agile practices and ceremonies.
9. Experience with pipeline tools such as GitHub Actions, HELM, Argo CD, Docker, Kubernetes, Snyk/SonarCloud, and Digital.ai Deploy.
10. Knowledge of AWS fundamentals, including Regions, Availability Zones (AZs), VPC, Subnets, Security Groups, NACLs, EC2, AMIs, and S3 storage.
