SUMMARY
This DevOps Engineer is responsible for enhancing the overall productivity of the Ansys Discovery development team. In this role, the candidate will work hands-on with developers and testers to provide build and deployment services for the Ansys Discovery products, enhance and refactor code, and investigate methods to improve product stability and developer productivity.

RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Manage build, testing, and distribution systems
2. Explore methods and technologies to improve efficiency of the Discovery development team
3. Migrate workloads to utilize cloud resources
4. Enhance and refactor application code
5. Manage continuous integration and VDI systems
6. Liaison with corporate build, testing and dev services teams
7. Automate deployment of the system for testing and production use
8. Perform performance testing and optimization of the deployment
9. Actively participate in project planning, design brainstorm sessions and team meetings

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

1. BS in Engineering, Computer Science or related field with 2 years' experience or MS, or adequate work experience
2. Experience with system administration, IT, or software development
3. Hands-on experience in creation and deployment of containers
4. High proficiency in C# and object-oriented programming principles
5. Solid understanding of Windows and virtualization
6. Highly motivated with a willingness to learn new technologies and make architectural decisions
7. Strong team player who thrives in an open and collaborative environment and is committed to meeting team goals

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

1. Build and source code management tools such as Azure DevOps, TeamCity, Jenkins, Git
2. Containerization technologies such as Docker
3. Configuration management tools such as Ansible, Puppet
4. Package management tools such as NuGet, Conan
5. Cloud APIs such as AWS or Azure
