An exciting opportunity has arisen on a fixed term basis for a Pensions & Control Development Lead to join the Employee Service Centre (ESC). The ESC is a busy transactional service that forms part of East Midlands Shared Services. We provide transactional Payroll and HR Administration services to Nottingham City Council (NCC) and Leicestershire County Council (LCC).
As the Pensions & Control Development Lead, the successful candidate will work closely with the Payroll Control Team, looking for opportunities to improve the services delivered. The successful candidate will be the lead on all pension related changes/updates for all occupational pension schemes that LCC and NCC operate as part of their payroll service.

This is a development role focusing on the Payroll Control functions and all pension related changes and updates. Working closely with the Control Team Leader in developing improvements across the control processes to achieve efficiencies, testing and reviewing changes implemented and working with colleagues to ensure delivery to timescales. The role will involve investigating any future legislative changes to the pension schemes on behalf of the Councils, that may involve future planning, leading and testing those changes to ensure full compliance to scheme regulations. Training team members on new practices and processes. Leading on improvements in reporting facilities to provide key performance related data and all pension and audit requirements.
