Based in the UK and working in our London office, we are looking for a Development Manager / Technical Lead for our Karbon Client Lifecycle Management (CLM) platform. The team is around 7 people and are following agile scrum methodology.

Requirements

This is a hands-on position as senior developer and team leader, and the successful candidate should be able to demonstrate the following capabilities:

Guiding the Team:

  • As a team leader, you provide guidance and direction to the development team. You help them understand the project goals, priorities, and overall vision.
  • You ensure that team members are aligned with the Scrum framework and principles.

Facilitating Communication:

  • You act as a bridge between the team and other stakeholders, including the product owner.
  • Facilitating effective communication within the team and with external parties is essential. You help resolve any conflicts or misunderstandings.

Ensuring Productivity:

  • You monitor the team’s progress and ensure that they are working efficiently toward achieving sprint goals.
  • Remove any obstacles or impediments that hinder the team’s productivity.

Technical Leadership:

  • Provide guidance on architectural decisions, code quality, and best practices.
  • Collaborate with team members to address technical challenges.
  • Participate actively in Scrum ceremonies, such as Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.
  • During Sprint Planning, help the team estimate work, allocate story points, and commit to sprint goals.
  • While the product owner primarily manages the product backlog, you assist in refining, estimating, and prioritizing backlog items.
  • Allocate a portion of the team’s capacity (usually up to 10%) for backlog grooming.
  • Encourage a culture of continuous improvement within the team.
  • Regularly review processes, tools, and practices to identify areas for enhancement.

Collaboration with Other Teams:

  • Coordinate with other teams (if applicable) to ensure smooth integration and alignment across the organization.
  • Foster collaboration and knowledge sharing.

Technical Skills:
