Development Manager Wanted for a highly regarding school in Tunbridge Wells!


Term Time Only - 39 weeks per year + 5 INSET days, plus additional 2 weeks to be worked during the summer holiday and paid on claim.


Full Time Equivalent: £32,933 - £37,188 (actual salary based on working term time only £28,579 - £32,271).


Working Hours: 8.30 - 4.30 Monday to Thursday | 8.30 - 4.00 Friday.

Your key responsibilities fall into 3 main parts: Marketing, Fundraising and Alumni.


  1. Develop and implement strategic initiatives to enhance the organisation's educational offerings.
  2. Collaborate with internal teams to identify growth opportunities and optimise programme delivery.
  3. Drive revenue generation through effective fundraising and partnership development strategies.
  4. Monitor market trends and competitor activities to ensure the organisation stays ahead of the curve.
  5. Lead a team of dedicated professionals, inspiring them to achieve their full potential.
  6. Fundraising will take various forms, including bid writing and campaign events.
  7. Research and draft applications to trusts, funds, individuals, alumni etc.
  8. Build relationships with the local business community to support reputation, fundraising and careers.
  9. Provide centralised control of PR, marketing activities, and alumni/fundraising activities such as database management, events and e-newsletters.

Desired Qualifications and Skills:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Education, Business, or a related field.
  2. Proven experience in managing education programmes or projects and bid writing.
  3. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  4. Excellent strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  5. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools.
