Development Engineer

Probe Technical Recruitment are recruiting a very exciting opportunity for a Development Engineer for a global manufacturer based near Rutland. We are looking for somebody to manage and assist in development and engineering projects at the site and to provide second line support to the Engineering team. You identify opportunities for improvements and make recommendations to improve machine and process effectiveness.

The benefits package for the Development Engineer role includes:

1. Base salary would be £37,516.72, with the option of 208 hours contractual overtime giving an extra £5625.36, if the successful candidate wanted to start doing this after completion of their probation period. There could also be some negotiation on the base salary for the right candidate.

5. Company sick pay after one year's service, increasing with length of service to a max of 24 weeks

The key areas for Development Engineer focus:

1. Timed served engineer, electrical bias
2. Ideally, a good working knowledge of PLC and servo control systems
3. Understand and be able to work with Pneumatics and Hydraulics
4. Good computer skills, CAD systems, ideally Auto-Cad would be desirable
5. Have experience in installing and commissioning new pieces of equipment
