Job Description

Now recruiting for a rapidly growing optics business, a Development / Opto-electronic Engineer with experience in developing fibre-based sensors, to work on the development of new sensors. Working onsite in Oxfordshire, you will be responsible for the design and development of Optoelectronic devices and systems, and as such should have a background in Fibre optics, Optoelectronics, Photonics or similar. You will also define and lead the actioning of work packages, as well as taking responsibility for the documentation of designs and control of design records.

In this ‘hands on’ development role you will be part of a multi-disciplinary engineering team. On a daily basis, you will be working with both customers and suppliers/supply chain, and therefore it is expected that you should have both strong technical and communication skills. Experience: As the successful Development Engineer, you should ideally have around 3 years commercial experience in a relevant design or development environment. You should also have experience with software such as LabView and Python.

Qualifications: You should have achieved at least a Bachelor Degree in a relevant technical subject - Physics, Electronics, Optics or a related field.

Additional Information: Candidates must be in the UK and be eligible to live and work in the UK. Copies of Passports and Visas will be requested for verification.
