We’re looking for someone who is either a recent graduate or has a few years of experience as a Development Chemist. If you excel at communicating technical information across all levels of a business, are self-motivated, and possess strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, this could be the perfect role for you. The role sits within our R&D team here in Flitwick.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Acting as an R&D consultant on cross-functional business-wide projects.
• Managing new product development, cost-saving, and sustainability projects.
• Using technical knowledge to develop and adjust product formulations.
• Actively seeking to develop knowledge of raw materials and products within own product categories.
• Taking responsibility for ensuring products are fully tested internally and externally to comply with the relevant standard(s), as agreed with Marketing and Technical.
• Maintaining an up-to-date knowledge of standards, policies, and regulations that apply to R&D and own product category.

What You Need To Be Successful

• Master’s or PhD in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or related discipline.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate technical information.
• Ability to lead and manage various projects.
• Eagerness and willingness to learn.
• Be creative, proactive and work as part of a team.
