Job description

Job Purpose

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Development Assistant: Visual Arts to work with East Ayrshire Leisure on 'Before and After Coal: Images and Voices from Scottish Coal Mining Communities,' an exhibition within Baird Institute, Cumnock. The exhibition is organised by National Galleries Scotland in collaboration with Nicky Bird and mining communities. The post holder will engage with public visitors and invited groups in the gallery delivering special exhibition tours. They will also assist in planning and delivering visual arts learning and engagement activities to a broad range of groups, with a focus on community photography and documentary practices. Rate of Pay

Rate of Pay: £14.26 - £14.93 per hour. Hours of work are 19.5 hours per week, see attached work pattern. This is a temporary position until 30 August 2025.
