Developer Relations Manager
About My Client

My client is developing an advanced API platform designed to help SaaS businesses of all sizes seamlessly integrate with third-party applications. Their solution simplifies connectivity, making integrations faster, more secure, and highly scalable.
The Mission
The SaaS industry is expanding rapidly, but building and maintaining integrations remains a slow and costly process. My client aims to change that by providing a unified platform that streamlines connections between applications, allowing companies to focus on innovation rather than infrastructure. Backed by leading investors and experiencing rapid growth, my client is in the process of securing additional funding to accelerate development. They're looking for ambitious professionals to help shape the future of their platform and company.

About the Role

As a Developer Relations Manager, your role is to engage, educate, and empower developers. You will be responsible for crafting compelling technical content, building an engaged developer community, and acting as a bridge between users and the internal product team. Your work will ensure developers can easily understand, adopt, and make the most of the platform.

Key Responsibilities
  • Content Development: Create in-depth blog posts, tutorials, videos, and webinars that explain the platform's capabilities and best practices.
  • Community Building: Foster an active and supportive developer community through social media, forums, and GitHub. Answer questions, provide guidance, and encourage knowledge-sharing.
  • Developer Advocacy: Gather insights from users and provide feedback to product and engineering teams to refine features and roadmap priorities.
  • Onboarding & Documentation: Develop clear and comprehensive guides, API documentation, and sample projects to help developers get started quickly.
  • Technical Partnerships: Collaborate with external technology partners to create integrated content and showcase real-world use cases.
  • Internal Knowledge Sharing: Keep internal teams informed about industry trends, competitor offerings, and community feedback.
What You'll Need
  • Experience: 3+ years in Developer Relations, Developer Advocacy, or a similar role.
  • Technical Background: Hands-on coding experience with APIs, webhooks, and RESTful services.
  • Content Creation Skills: Proven ability to produce high-quality technical content, including sample code and tutorials.
  • Strong Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills; experience with public speaking is a plus.
  • Tool Familiarity: Knowledge of Markdown, API documentation tools (such as Swagger), and basic HTML/CSS is beneficial.

As an early technical hire, you'll have the opportunity to shape the stack and tools used. Currently, my client's technology includes:

  • Programming Languages & Frameworks: TypeScript (Node.js), NestJS, Ruby on Rails
  • Day-to-Day Tools: Notion, Slack, Jira, GitHub, Google Workspace
  • Content & Product Tools: Webflow, Intercom, ReadMe, Figma

If you're passionate about developer engagement and want to help shape a fast-growing platform, this role could be a perfect fit.
