Salary: £13,923.50 for a 21 hours per week contract
Hours: 21 hours per week days/nights
Full flexibility will be required as this is a 24-hour service, 365 days a year.

You must be over 21 and have held a full manual car driving license for 1 year to be successful for this post.
Training: Training courses are held throughout the year and you will be expected to attend the 5 week training course every day Mon-Fri for the duration, you will be paid FULL TIME hours for your training attendance.
Working as a DCO within our team will provide you with the opportunity to maintain high standards of security and safety whilst promoting the welfare and decency of residents. This is a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same. As you gain experience within this challenging role, we'll support you throughout your time to grow and develop. Your new role as DCO will be escorting residents to flights and involve looking after the welfare of residents in our holding facility all based at the airport.
Being a Detention Custody Officer demands the people's skills, patience, resilience, and professionalism to handle an ever-changing day. Our people come from a variety of backgrounds, you will have the communication and interpersonal skills to support colleagues, work together in teams and deliver an exceptional service to our residents. Previous experience of dealing sensitively with a wide variety of people who have been agitated, confused, or angry would be an advantage. Excellent problem-solving skills in addition to having the ability to keep calm under pressure will be key to developing your Care & Custody career.
Once you have passed our selection and vetting process, you'll begin your Care & Custody career completing a 7-week initial training course (ITC), continuing your development over the next 12 months with on-the-job mentoring and assessments to gain our accredited Level 3 apprenticeship in Detention and Custody.
YOU MUST hold a valid British Passport, or EU passport with Share Code, have no criminal convictions, less than 7 points on your manual car driver's license and have lived and worked in the UK for 3 years or more, with no extended trips overseas.
