We are looking for a junior designer to join our Design Team as part of the Marketing & New Business division of Nexus Studios. The primary role will be to design and deliver bespoke creative materials in order to help raise the profile of our capabilities, work and talent. Drawing on existing project collateral and creating original assets, you will be the go-to designer for visual content for the website, social campaigns, project promotion, award submissions and activity, digital newsletters and presentations, video editing and print materials. You will be a brand guardian and support its evolution as well as create brand and typographic identities for specific activations.
You will have access to mentoring by experienced designers and creatives and encouraged to hone your skills to develop and grow within the studio, across graphic design, editing, branding and art direction. You will be an active participant in the team's planning activities and be given the opportunity to explore both the Marketing and Design divisions, working with renowned Directors.
Requirements
What you'll be doing:
- Maintain visual standards externally across the Nexus Studios brand.
- Create marketing materials for all digital channels, including web, social and email.
- Maintain website content and CMS (WordPress) management, including overall page layout and design. Collaborating on website updates, creating new layout suggestions and optimisation.
- Create and maintain decks for Marketing and New Business needs.
- Create newsletters, slate reels, and director materials for Marketing and New Business.
- Leading on design assets for award entries and printed marketing materials.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders to obtain design and film files.
- Research visual trends and propose best practices for asset pipeline.
- Asset management internally for our archive of all work, across drives and Slate.
- Support the Marketing department with design strategy, creative collaboration and coordination across all internal and social campaigns.
- Some social media posting to design-first channels, like Instagram and Bluesky.
What you'll bring:
- Graphic design training or similar via education, work or personal experience.
- Demonstrable interest in marketing and film is essential, plus animation is desirable.
- Working knowledge of Google Slides, Adobe CC, Keynote and WordPress.
- Some experience of Premier Pro and Adobe CC for editing is desirable, training will be provided.
- An eye for layout, colour and typography.
- A stickler for detail.
- A self-starter who can work well in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organisation, communication and time management skills.
- Experience creating or optimising released material for print, digital, motion and/or web is desirable but not essential.
- Illustration, animation, video editing, and motion graphics skills are desirable.
- Interest in and willingness to learn film editing and motion graphics software is desirable, and on-the-job training will be provided.
