Designer / Design Team Lead

£30,000 - £35,000, Haywards Heath outskirts, Monday-Thursday 8:00am-5:30pm, Friday 9:00am-12:30pm, Permanent, 20 days holiday + Bank Holidays + Christmas closure, Pension, Life cover, Team days out, Exercise hour, Free local coffee

The Role

We're seeking a talented and motivated Designer / Design Team Lead to join a dynamic and award-winning creative agency based on the outskirts of Haywards Heath. This hands-on role combines producing creative, high-quality design work with leading a small team of designers. Reporting to the Creative Director, you will manage, inspire, and support a Junior Designer and an Apprentice Designer while overseeing a wide variety of integrated design projects.

• Lead, support, and develop the in-house design team
• Deliver innovative and commercially-focused creative work across digital and print
• Work on integrated marketing campaigns, brand development, websites, and paid media
• Oversee creative output for social media, email marketing, and interactive PDFs
• Guide the visual execution of branding and visual identity across multiple channels
• Liaise with clients and contribute to pitches and proposals with the sales team
• Maintain high design standards and ensure deadlines are met
• Support creative strategy development and process improvements
• Manage external suppliers and ensure production accuracy
• Collaborate closely with internal teams across marketing and client services

Requirements

You should be highly skilled in Adobe Creative Cloud (including Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, After Effects), Figma, and experienced in both digital and print design. Strong branding, image editing, campaign design, and web/UI design capabilities are highly desirable, alongside 2D animation skills. Experience with 3D animation and a basic understanding of HTML are beneficial. You'll bring creative flair, excellent attention to detail, and a commercial mindset to every project. This role could suit someone who has worked as a Senior Designer, Studio Lead, or Creative Team Lead.

Due to location, it is essential you have your own transport.
