Job description

Job Title: Design & Technology Teacher

Location: Rotherham

Pay Rate: £155 - £220 per day

GSL Education is seeking a creative and dynamic Design & Technology Teacher to join secondary schools in Rotherham. This is an exciting opportunity to inspire students and help them explore the world of design, engineering, and technology, fostering creativity, problem-solving, and innovation in the classroom.

Job Responsibilities
  1. Plan and deliver stimulating Design & Technology lessons for Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students.
  2. Encourage creativity and critical thinking through practical and theoretical learning.
  3. Provide opportunities for students to engage with a wide range of materials, tools, and techniques.
  4. Assess and track student progress, providing feedback to support improvement.
  5. Collaborate with colleagues and parents to create a supportive and engaging learning environment.
Requirements
  1. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or PGCE in Design & Technology or a related field.
  2. Proven experience teaching Design & Technology at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
  3. Strong knowledge of Design & Technology curriculum and resources.
  4. Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  5. Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).
