Design Technology (DT) Teacher / Design Technology (DT) ECT

In the heart of Barnet, an 'Outstanding' Secondary School is on the hunt for a Design Technology (DT) Teacher / Design Technology (DT) ECT for a September 2025 start. This is a permanent, full-time contract.

The Head Teacher is looking for an ambitious Design Technology (DT) Teacher / Design Technology (DT) ECT who is keen to add value to an expanding Design Technology (DT) Department. The School is renowned for its supportive SLT and impressive Progress 8 results across all subjects.

The School is well invested in the Education sector, setting new teaching practices, as well as training their own and new staff. It's an exciting time at the School!

Experienced Design Technology (DT) Teachers can take on a TLR such as KS3 Coordinator, Pastoral Responsibility, and more. Newly Qualified Design Technology (DT) Teachers (ECT) will be enrolled onto the School's bespoke ECT induction and work alongside a range of young & experienced Design Technology (DT) Teachers.

• TLR Opportunities: KS3 Coordinator and Pastoral Responsibilities
• ECTs welcome: 1:1 Mentor, bespoke ECT induction, in-house training, and more
• September 2025 - Full Time & Permanent
• MPS1-UPS3 + TLR (size depending on experience)
• Located in the Borough of Barnet

PERSON SPECIFICATION

• Must have UK QTS or be in the process of gaining
• Strong academics across the board - Degree, A Levels, and GCSEs
• Must meet the 8 Teaching Standards to a 'Good or Outstanding' level
• You must be able to work as part of a large team of Design Technology (DT) Teachers
• Must be willing to listen to feedback
