Design & Technical Trainee - Caterham, England

In a Nutshell… We have an exciting opportunity for a Design and Technical Trainee to join our team at Vistry Group. As our Technical Trainee, you will provide administrative support to the technical team in the planning, coordination, and design functions on each allocated project from tender to post contract. In this role, you will gain hands-on experience while working towards a higher Level 4 apprenticeship to further develop your skills and knowledge.

  2. 4 GCSEs A-C/4-9, two of these must be Maths and English
  3. A minimum of a Level 3 qualification (e.g., NVQ or diploma Level 3 or equivalent / T Level / BTEC Diploma or 2 A Levels with a minimum grade D or above)
  4. Excellent attention to detail
  5. Confident at engaging with our stakeholders with a professional communication style
  6. Able to build and maintain relationships with both internal and external partners
  7. Strong IT skills and experience of using computers, preferably Excel, Power Projects & Word
  8. Able to work on your own initiative
  9. Full UK driving licence (desirable)

  2. Identification of health and safety risks in the design of projects
  3. Checking of compliance with regulations on a construction project
  4. The minimisation of the environmental impact of construction projects
  5. Assisting architects with the development of detailed design on a construction project
  6. Co-ordinate design information on a construction project
  7. Monitoring of quality on a construction project
  8. Assisting commercial staff with the monitoring of costs on a construction project
