Duration: Contract
Location: Hybrid Working - Customer location as required in Warwick
- 5+ years of automotive Catia V5 design experience
- Experience with body structures, including Body (BIW / Panels) and Aluminium extrusions
- A positive, proactive and flexible mindset
- Basic mechanical, material and production knowledge
- Fluency in English
- Good level of technical capability and familiarity with body structure construction methods and materials, including metals and plastics
- Awareness of component manufacturing techniques such as casting, pressing, extrusion, joining, and fastening methods
- Experience in delivery of engineering releases
- Complex assembly experience
- Ability to work proactively and independently
- Engineering and/or development experience of electric vehicles
- Ability to aid design decisions and issue resolution
- Great attention to detail and an attitude to produce 'right first time' quality work
- Good understanding of mechanical design requirements for typical automotive applications e.g. fastening systems, sealing solutions, manufacturing techniques
- Understanding of DFMEA and risk assessment techniques in automotive environment
- PC literate and at ease with MS Office products
