Title: Design Engineer - Aircraft Structures for eVTOL

Location: Bristol, UK

Job Type: 12 Months Contract

Work Mode: Hybrid (need to visit GKN Office in Bristol 3 days a week)

Job Description Summary:

1. Experienced in airframe structure design engineering development
2. Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering graduate or postgraduate with a minimum of 6 to 10 years of experience in executing Design activities
3. Experience working on eVTOL aircraft design, build, and test related work is an advantage for this position

Must Have Skills:

1. Design engineering experience and coordination with an authorized Design Approver Signatory on Airframe structure - metallic and/or composite aero structures
2. Excellent knowledge of Aero structures, Wing, Empennage, and Fuselage.
3. Excellent knowledge of computerized design and analysis methods (CATIA V5)
4. Experience with GD&T (tolerance stack-up)
5. Good experience with aerospace Composite (honeycomb)/Metallic materials and manufacturing processes
6. Customer focused with the ability to establish credibility with internal and external customers
7. Awareness of A/C industry standards, regulations, and qualification requirements
8. Good English verbal and written communication skills
9. Able to work to tight, demanding deadlines and customer demands
10. Ability to work effectively within an integrated project team
