Design Engineer - Mechanical Manufacturing | Surrey | Full time - office based | Client and site visits required as part of the role | £35,000- £55,000 per annum DOE


Our client has been established for over 35 years and is a leading manufacturer of container handling systems and conveyors, primarily for the bottling, canning and food packaging industries.


Based in Egham, Surrey; they design, manufacture and install a range of bespoke equipment for high-speed production lines throughout the UK and Western Europe.


Due to ever-increasing customer demand, they currently have an opportunity to expand their technical team and are looking to recruit additional Design Project Engineers.


Are you the right person for the job?

  1. A full UK driving license and own transport is required
  2. A mechanical engineering background and experience in using AutoCAD design tools is essential
  3. Drawing office experience
  4. A willingness to learn
  5. Strong team ethic
  6. Enthusiastic and flexible

What will your role look like?

  1. Designing bespoke mechanical systems for container handling and conveyor projects
  2. Creating detailed AutoCAD drawings and 3D models for custom manufacturing solutions
  3. Managing the design process from concept to completion
  4. Ensuring all designs meet customer specifications, safety standards, and industry regulations
  5. Attending site meetings when required
