Design Engineer

Recruit4Staff are proud to represent their client, an internationally renowned construction & civil engineering company in their search for a Design Engineer to work on their newly awarded contract in the Penrhyndeudraeth area.

For the successful Design Engineer, our client is offering:

1. Salary: £45,000 to £50,000 (Negotiable depending on experience & skillset)
2. Days role
3. Permanent role
4. Pension with up to 8% contribution from the client
5. 25 days holiday + Bank holidays

The Role - Design Engineer

1. To manage design consultant activities to ensure they are completed in line with the agreed programme and requirements.
2. To act as technical lead for the permanent works design on the project in the absence of management.
3. Ensure both input and output deliverables for the design are tracked and reported.
4. Manage the technical query processes.
5. Ensure compliance with design management processes required by the contract.
6. Manage the BIM requirements for permanent and temporary works.

What our client is looking for in a Design Engineer

1. Tier 1 Main Contract Design experience - ESSENTIAL
2. Must hold a degree in Design Engineering or similar - ESSENTIAL
3. Proven experience on large building projects.
4. Heavy civil engineering projects and tunneling experience - DESIRABLE
5. Must be happy to be based on site full-time.
