An exciting opportunity has become available for a Practice Manager to join Derbyshire Vets. We are a well-established, mixed practice with locations in Ashbourne, Buxton, and Wirksworth. This role will be primarily based at our McMurtry & Harding branch in Ashbourne but will involve overseeing all three sites.

Responsibilities Will Include:

  1. Leadership & HR: Managing the Ashbourne reception team, overseeing staff development and CPD, and handling recruitment, onboarding, and graduate academy registration. You will also support HR functions, including absence management, disciplinary processes, GDPR compliance, and general HR advice.
  2. Financial Management: Working alongside the Operations Practice Manager to process payroll, client invoices, stock orders, and stock take.
  3. Data & Reporting: Managing PowerBI reporting, analysing data, and making recommendations based on findings.
  4. Client Relations & Marketing: Ensuring high customer service levels and NPS scores, handling client complaints, and overseeing practice marketing and promotions.
  5. Operational Oversight: Managing Dayforce scheduling, ensuring property and facilities maintenance across all three sites, and serving as the Health & Safety Representative.
  6. Debt & Payment Plans: Overseeing company debt, including Carefree Credit, Carefund, and Klarna.
  7. Technology & Systems: Ensuring an understanding of IT and telephony systems.
  8. Farm Administration: Providing support with farm administration.

About the Rota and Salary

Full-time role - 37.5 hours per week

Monday to Friday between 8:00 AM - 7:00 PM (hours negotiable)

Salary: £30,000 - £45,000 DOE
