Regional Engineering & Technology (RE&T) NCE Offshore is the technical offshore-focused arm of our Vestas Technology & Operations in Northern & Central Europe, providing the link between our regional business unit, value chain and our customer needs towards the central Research & Development team, responsible for global product development in Vestas. The Deputy Technical Project Manager (f/w/d) role within RE&T is a highly diversified role that requires strong technical skills as well as a solid commercial mindset and offshore operational skills. You will work with our construction project execution group, our customers as well as R&D engineering functions, to deliver the best possible technical outcome for our offshore projects, targeting exponential growth in the offshore wind segment.
Responsibilities
The Deputy Technical Project Manager (f/w/d) will work closely with the Technical Project Manager (f/w/d) to ensure flawless execution of the project and ultimately support the Technical Project Manager (f/w/d) in ensuring that technical aspects of the project are delivered on time, to budget and to the required safety and quality standards (within agreed specifications). The key words being support, co-ordination, development oversight, interface tracking & control, risk identification & escalation, project requirements and priority focus. During your work you will be exposed to large and complex organization and you should thrive in being so.
The Deputy Technical Project Manager (f/w/d) will discuss and align with the Technical Project Manager (f/w/d) on which activities/sub-projects within the project to be involved in, i.e. day-to-day communication and alignment with the relevant stakeholders, all aimed at helping the Technical Project Manager effectively manage the technical aspects of the project.
The Deputy Technical Project Manager (f/w/d) will have delegated authority to act on behalf of the Technical Project Manager (f/w/d) during internal meetings when the Technical Project Manager (f/w/d) is not in attendance, and the Deputy Technical Project Manager (f/w/d) shall also be able to substitute the Technical Project Manager (f/w/d) towards the Customer during absence. The Deputy Technical Project Manager (f/w/d) will assist and support in terms of ensuring an understanding of the technical scope within the project team, coordinating technical deliverables and providing support through all stages of the construction project, including technical issues that might arise.
The Deputy Technical Project Manager (f/w/d) will also assist in regards to maintaining a close dialogue with the Pre-installation Project Manager (f/w/d), Technical Site Specialist (f/w/d), Installation Manager (f/w/d) and Commissioning Manager (f/w/d) to provide support on any technical issues which arise, and ensure alignment throughout the value chain.
